LAKEVIEW 17, GIRARD 12

GIRARD - Michael Mannella rushed for 102 yards and Eric Schmitt passed for another 116 to lead the Bulldogs past Girard in All-American Conference, National Division, game.

Girard had the early lead, as Nick Cardiero connected with Even DelBene on a 44-yard score. But Lakeview answered at the end of the quarter, as Manella ran in a 20-yard TD.

Lakeview (3-2) added 10 points in the second quarter, which included a 40-yard field goal from Jake Pishotti. Girard added another touchdown in the fourth, but it wasn't enough.

Girard (0-5) was led by Cardiero's 238 yards passing. Jordan Graziano added 41 yards rushing and 62 yards receiving.

SPRINGFIELD 25, EAST PALESTINE 8

EAST PALESTINE - Springfield accumulated 358 yards - 300 rushing - and limited East Palestine to 198 yard of total offense, as the Tigers took this Inter Tri-County League, Lower Tier, contest.

Hunter Snyder paced the way for Springfield (2-3) with 143 rushing, 58 passing and two touchdowns. His long score of the night was a 76 yard run in the fourth quarter. Ryan Kohler added 88 yards rushing and a TD.

For East Palestine (0-5), Lucas Cope threw for 109 yards and connected with Nick Monteleone for a 33-yard touchdown.

CHAMPION 34, NEWTON FALLS 14

CHAMPION - James Naylor rushed for one touchdown and passed for three more, and Mike Cyrus added another score as the Golden Flashes defeated Newton Falls in an AAC, National Division, contest.

Champion (2-3) scored on their first drive of the game, with Naylor punching in a 1-yard score. The Flashes didn't get on the board again until nearing halftime, when Cyrus added his 5-yard touchdown. In the second half, Naylor found Jason Cyrus for a 49-yard touchdown as well as a 6-yard score. He also connected with Robert Douglas from 15 yards out.

Newton Falls (1-4) was held scoreless until the fourth quarter when Chris Gregory had an 8-yard touchdown run and Brandon Fuller had a 62-yard TD. Fuller also passed for 168 yards.

POLAND 13, CANFIELD 0

CANFIELD - The game could have been called at halftime, as two Conner McFadden field goals and a Ross Gould touchdown was all Poland needed to defeat arch rival Canfield.

McFadden kicked his first in the first quarter, a 30-yard kick, and added a 37-yard field goal in the second quarter. Gould's touchdown came with 4:10 left in the half, a 40-yard run.

Gould rushed for 58 yards on seven carries. Quarterback Jake Wolfe was 11-of-17 passing for 67 yards. Poland is now 3-2 on the season.

Canfield (2-3) was paced by Nick Annichenni's 71 yards rushing.

SOUTH RANGE 23, UNITED 20

HANOVERTON - Cole Krumpak's 37-yard field goal with 2:34 left broke a tie and lifted South Range over United.

The Raiders won despite committing five turnovers.

Trailing 20-13 at the half, David McCabe scored on a 1-yard rush to tie the game in the third quarter before Krumpak's game winner.

Jake Arsuffi led South Range with 140 yards rushing.

MENTOR LAKE CATHOLIC 24, CARDINAL MOONEY 21, 2 OT

MENTOR - It took two extra periods to decide a winner, but a Joe Korb field goal was the difference, giving Mentor Lake Catholic the victory over Cardinal Mooney.

Mooney was up 7-0 for the entire first half, but Lake Catholic outscored the Cardinals 14-7 in the second half. The teams traded touchdowns in the first overtime, then Korb's field goal ended the game in the second extra period.

Justus Ellis-Moore had two touchdowns for the Cardinals (2-3), a 72-yard run in the first quarter, and an 11-yard score in the first overtime. He finished the game with 159 yards.

LISBON 48, JACKSON-MILTON 34

LISBON - Thomas Gatewood caught seven passes for 196 yards and three touchdowns, but Jackson-Milton came up short against Lisbon.

Gatewood had scoring receptions of 37, 45 and 68 yards for the Blue Jays (0-5, 0-2).

Zak Leko led Lisbon (2-3, 1-1) with 106 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

WESTERN RESERVE 35, LEETONIA 14

BERLIN CENTER - Tim Cooper has 159 yards on 18 carries and a touchdown to lead the Blue Devils past the Bears in this Inter-Tri County League, Lower Tier battle.

Nick Allison was 8 of 16 for 170 yards and two scores for Western Reserve (3-2, 2-0 ITCL Lower Tier).

Zack Van Giesan paced Leetonia (3-2, 1-1) with 54 yards on 11 carries an a TD.

CAMPBELL 14, LaBRAE 11

CAMPBELL - Campbell's Adrien Brown rushed for 127 yards and a touchdown and the Red Devil defense was able to pick off LaBrae's Peyton Aldridge four times en route to the league victory.

The Vikings had a 3-0 lead at halftime, before Campbell outscored LaBrae 14-8 in the second half. Aldridge did connect with Carl Brown for the lone touchdown of the night for LaBrae. The two Campbell touchdowns came from a Brown run and a Brandon Reyes run.

LaBrae is 0-5 on the season. Campbell improves to 3-2.

PYMATUNING VALLEY 34, CONNEAUT 0

ANDOVER - Nick Holt capped off Pymatuning Valley's shut out win with a 91-yard interception return.

J.T. Willis led the Lakers (1-4) with 168 yards rushing, including an 81-yard scoring run.

Quintin Ratliff scored two touchdowns for Py Valley.

CRESTVIEW 71, MINERAL RIDGE 7

MINERAL RIDGE - The Rebels set two school records in beating the Rams during this ITCL Upper Tier game.

Colin Gilbert connected on a 99-yard pass to Dimitri Gregory with 9:09 left in the second quarter as Crestview (5-0, 1-0) took a 41-7 lead. Also, the Rebels' 71 points was a school record.

Crestview had 696 total yards to Mineral Ridge's 116. The Rebels also had 28 first downs to Mineral Ridge's 5.

Nick Blower led Crestview with 188 yards on 14 carries and three touchdowns.

Corey Phillips' 81-yard kickoff return in the first quarter accounted for the only score for the Rams (2-3, 1-1).

EAST CANTON 21, GARFIELD 14

EAST CANTON - Austin Tekip's 10-yard touchdown run in the third quarter lifted the Hornets past the G-Men in this Portage Trail Conference, County Division battle.

Travis VanVoorhes and Scott Lewis had 44- and 66-yard TD receptions from Clay Libertore in the second quarter for East Canton (3-2, 2-0 PTC County).

Brandon Davis had a 1-yard TD run in the first quarter for Garfield (1-4, 0-2).

SOUTHEAST 42, WINDHAM 10

WINDHAM - Brandon Olson had 22 carries for 139 yards rushing and two scores as the Pirates blasted the Bombers in this PTC County Division game.

Brandon James rushed for three scores of 4, 5 and 34 yards for Southeast (3-2, 2-0).

The Pirates dominated the ground game with 340 yards on 59 carries and had 491 total yards to Windham's 217.

Parker Rickey led Windham (3-2, 1-1) with 80 yards on six receptions and score.

Josh Tyburski's 1-yard TD catch from Chase Chapman cut the Garfield gap to 21-14 in the fourth quarter. Tyburski had seven catches for 100 yards.
