Girard High School's football team is having one of the best seasons in school history.
The Indians added to their success Thursday.
Coach Nick Cochran was named coach of the year on the Division IV Associated Press Northeastern Inland All-District football team.
The complete list is on page 2C.
Cochran led the Indians to a 9-1 regular season after going 6-4 in his first year as head coach.
The prolific offensive coordinator who spurned many high-powered offenses for the Indians in past years, has a balanced defense that has amassed 44.5 points per game and 4,389 yards through the first 10 games.
