SHADYSIDE - Brooks Ramsey had two of his three first-half rushing scores as Shadyside pulled away from Southington in the second quarter with 21 unanswered points in a 49-28 victory.
Ramsey had scores from 1, 4 and 5 yards for the Tigers (3-2).
J.C. Comella had two TD catches of 24 and 28 yards from Travis Reynolds to lead the Wildcats.
Jordan Dickey paced Southington (1-3) with 78 yards on eight carries and Connor Oakford had 62 yards on eight carries.
The total yardage was fairly even. Shadyside had 246 yards, while Southington added 239.
