J-M's defense reigns against Windham

WINDHAM - Jackson-Milton opened its season Friday with a convincing defensive effort in a 27-6 win over Windham.

Windham was hampered offensively, as it was able to gain a modest 75 yards of total offense.

Cody Vaughn led the Jackson-Milton offense in the first quarter by bringing in two touchdown scores from 18 and 41 yards.

Zach Nagy aided the effort in tossing two scores and running for another from 68 yards out.

Matt Knight scored the only touchdown for Windham from 3 yards out. He led the team with 28 yards on the ground on seven carries.
