Boom won't start against Indiana

Ohio State coach Jim Tressel told reporters on Thursday that sophomore tailback Dan "Boom" Herron would not start against Indiana on Saturday night because of an ankle injury. Tressel said Herron was about "85 percent" Thursday. Herron, a Warren G. Harding High School graduate, is expected to travel with the Buckeyes (3-1, 1-0 Big Ten Conference) and could play in the game, Tressel said.

Junior Brandon Saine is likely to start against the Hoosiers (3-1, 0-1 Big Ten Conference).

Saine and Herron both established season-high rushing totals against Illinois last week. Herron had 75 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries. Saine had 81 yards on 13 carries.
